One thing, good or bad, the pandemic has taught us; our institutions, our leaders, those with the hands on the steering wheels of society and with the hands in our money - they lie to us.
The type of anger and distrust generated when politicians or representatives of the national hierarchy clash, or disagree, with the people they are paid to represent, causing a threat to the people.
Naked & Alive was inspired in its creation by the journalism of Hunter S. Thompson. I felt a need to get my voice out there, to scream, since so little real journalism exists anymore. Nobody was telling or speaking the truth, not even the 4th estate anymore. This magazine was created out of desperation - many good things are born from those backed into a corner.
I’m less than a year into this journey but more and more, day by day, I am finding my voice and hopefully, a few people who read, are waking up because of my hoarse hollering. J’accuse.
The corruption is staggering. The money taken from the public purse is staggering. The ignorance of my fellow citizens, with heads in the sand, is staggering. The incompetence is mindboggling. The thin-skinnedness of society is sickening. The sleaze and filth at the top is poisonous. We need to embrace our fear and loathing and turn it on those double-talkers, snake oil men and women selling us down the road with bait and switch lies.
Let’s begin to speak plainly and honestly with each other. Reject the division the powers that be, are selling. We are on this planet for only one reason - I’ll let you finish that thought without fear, without loathing.
